New Year

Happy new year!

I've been trying my hand at making sculptures with Sculpey, it's pretty fun!
I need a lot more practise, though.
Is there any way to tell if its baked properly? My first sulpture has a slightly burned face, but its wings are kinda bendable. o_o
Was that caused by a heat distribution problem from my oven? I have an old and unreliable oven, it has problems. (like burning foods on one side, leaving the other side uncooked.)

I'm afraid to paint the two I've made, I don't want to ruin them with a horribad paint job. I have pretty much zero painting experience. XD
Of course, I will have to go out and buy some paints first.
